Data is encrypted in transit. You can request that data be deleted. I loved the app. But as all the other reviews say The new update just ruins it. There’s so many bugs, GIFs don’t show, It’s hard to show images, everything is smaller now, ect ect it just made everything really inconvenient and hard to navigate. I’d appreciate if you changed it back or fixed all the bugs. The new update is horrible. It reassembles the PC version, which on paper sounds good, but in execution is absolutely horrid to the eyes.

The old layout for mobile was perfect; it was simple and pleasing, now I don’t even know how to describe it. I guess it’s more clashing?. Got a free moment? You can even watch videos together! There are a hundred different ways to share things with your friends, but Discord stands out as a particularly good one. You can create individual groups called servers for your friends: the group that you play videogames with, the group that goes to the cinema together, and so on.

Also, Discord does not offer a desktop app for iPads, which are more than capable of running a Mac version of the app. The only way to access the browser site on a mobile device is by copying and pasting a link from your computer into your device and signing in from there, which is very inconvenient.

But I would say my biggest complaint is that instead of addressing these issues with the mobile app, Discord pushes features that are seemingly unnecessary, when there are more pressing matters that should be addressed.

But other than that it fulfills its purpose well, and if the mobile app issues were addressed, I would be more than happy to give this app five stars. The developer, Discord, Inc. For the most part, the Discord “app” is reliable for when not able to access the desktop version. I put “app” in quotes because it is actually a link to Discord’s website. Still, except for a stint where it wouldn’t work on the tablet, it serves well. All we need now is the search engine in case of notifications while offline. Desktop has it, this version does not.

Hoping for that update soon. Thank you for your feedback. Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again. I have had my account for maaaany years and I help run several communities on it. I’ve never had a reason to contact their customer service, everything runs fine for the most part.

As of late discord seems to have a large number of bots trying to hack accounts to steal CC and PayPal info, sell accounts etc. I was always mindful of this, usually, they are easy to spot this is my first time EVER being hacked on anything , it is a generic ‘hey check this out’ and a link.

But recently hackers have taken it a step further. I got a message from a friend asking how I was doing, what was up, normal chat. We went on to have a min conversation. He asked me to check something out for him, doesn’t seem unusual because he runs bing communities.

Well, it wasn’t him, it was a hacker pretending to be my friend, so my account was hacked. Yeah, my bad I didn’t know this new strategy until it was too late and the friend hadn’t reached out in any way to let people know they had been hacked and to be careful which I want to say I started telling people asap and asked them to spread the word.

This happened to my of my friends too, people who are very good at watching for bots, being tricked by these people acting like your friends to get your trust and make you feel nothing is out of the ordinary. So yes, I was hacked. This was almost two weeks ago. This included images of the hacker insulting my friend when he was trying to spread the info that I was hacked in one of my communities and openly saying that they were going to sell my account to someone else.

I also DM’ed asking if there was anything else I could do to help the situation on Facebook and Twitter, plus multi ‘s on Facebook and Twitter Discord has not contacted me in ANY way. I am also a Nitro user their paid service and still, I can’t even get a message from their customer service saying they are looking into my situation. It’s been radio silence. I have asked them to please switch ownership of some of the communities I run to friends who are the co-administrators that I trust so the hacker can’t mess with them or delete them some have hundreds of people in them and still, zero contact and my admins have told me they still can’t remove the hacked account because I’m the main admin and they can’t change that , so the communities are still in the hands of the hackers.

My friend was also hacked, and had their CC on their discord account for the renewal of their Nitro paid account. We all know what a pain that is, having to change all your account to a new card Unlike other programs and websites, where if you try and change your info it either sends to a link in the email to do it, asks for a code from an email, or sends you the ‘this info’s been changed and if this wasn’t you I will say, the program is nice for building communities and having all your friends in one place.

The voice chat and screen share are also nice. But when it comes to contacting them for help or customer service, this is one of the worst, if not -the worst- experiences I have ever had trying to get in contact with a company to get any form of help. The old layout for mobile was perfect; it was simple and pleasing, now I don’t even know how to describe it.

I guess it’s more clashing?. I’ll also let you know that whatever you did made the app run slower and laggier. This version feels more like a beta. The new update is quite horrible. There are some good things to come out of it, but the cons outweigh the pros.

For instance, now videos continue playing when I scroll past them, which at first I thought was cool, until I realized that I now literally have to press the pause button in order for videos to stop now. The UI is less smooth, the chat scaling looks somehow less polished, and I have to press my back button swipe in order to exit my keyboard.
